West Dennis Fireworks Canceled for 2020

According to the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, the West Dennis Fireworks are still scheduled for this Saturday, August 200, 2020. Unfortunately, that page needs updating because the Dennis Chamber of Commerce has announced that the event is canceled for this year. Find out more on the Star!


Hyannis Fireworks Canceled for Labor Day

Update: The fireworks have been canceled for this year. The Hyannis fireworks were originally scheduled for the Fourth of July. This year, because of the pandemic, the event was rescheduled for Labor Day weekend. This all changed yesterday. This is a statement that the town of Barnstable that I sent me yesterday. “Our first priority is the health and well-being of our community, therefore the Town of Barnstable fireworks which had been postponed to the Saturday (September 5, 2020) of Labor Day Weekend have been canceled until allowed by Governor’s Orders and Directives.”

Because of this change, we have updated the event listing to show that the fireworks will be back next year on their original date, the Fourth of July, 2021. Let’s all pray that some degree of normalcy returns to our world so that we can all gather and celebrate again. Here’s a listing from the previous year.
