Updates on COVID-19 Notice to the General Public 3/27/20
The Town of Dennis was notified today of its first confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19). All proper protocols, including contact investigation and notification, are being followed by the Visiting Nurses Association of Cape Cod in coordination with the Dennis Health Department. Close contacts of the positive case have been notified by the Visiting Nurses Association and are following CDC guidelines for self-quarantine. Due to privacy laws, no further details about the patient will be provided.
To prevent the spread of the virus, wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use the inside of your elbow to cover coughs and sneezes.  Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.  Staying home will reduce your risk of becoming sick.
