Eastham Coronavirus Update

Eastham: 4/30/2020
The Town of Eastham Staff consisting of personnel from the Eastham Police, Fire, Health, and Administration departments are closely monitoring developments as Coronavirus impacts our community. We continue to work together to provide essential services to the Town.
To date, Eastham has had a total of 9 positive cases of Covid 19. Of those 9 cases, 6 have recovered and the 3 others are in isolation. While our number of reported cases remains low, we need to keep focused on prevention. We need to stay committed to social distancing to keep our community safe. If you need to go to a store, restaurant, or pharmacy wearing a face covering is recommended to help protect those in our community that are providing an essential service. Be considerate of others.
There is currently no vaccine to protect our community from Covid 19. The best way to protect yourself is to avoid being exposed. Stay at home as much as possible and avoid close contact with others. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Governor Baker has extended the nonessential business closure and prohibition of gatherings of 10 or more until May 18, 2020. We all need to do our part. Help us protect those that are most at risk. It will take our entire community to make that happen. Thank you to everyone for your patience and kindness. Stay safe.
