To make things safer and more convenient, take note of the following parking guides below: No parking will be permitted on Rt. 28. Parking will be allowed on side streets and parking on Old Drive where festival is taking place. There will be Trolleys running along the parade route from 3pm-11pm.

The trolley route will start at The Riverway to The Cove. Frequent stops will be made at different businesses including the festival.

Operation Safe Home

In recognition of the 14th Annual Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade, the Yarmouth Police Department will activate Operation Safe Ride Home on Friday, March 8th starting at 6:00 PM on and ending at 2:00 AM on Sunday.

Any citizen who needs a free and safe ride home from a Yarmouth licensed liquor establishment should call Town Taxi directly at 508.775.5555.

This Operation Safe Ride Home is funded by the Yarmouth Restaurant Association—with an extra special $500 donation this year by Colonial Beverage of North Dartmouth—and involves a free and safe ride home to anyone from any Yarmouth liquor establishment.

Do not drink and drive and if you need a ride home take advantage of this highly successful program which will provide citizens with a free ride home anytime between 6PM on Friday and 2AM on Sunday.

The men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department are dedicated to transforming Yarmouth in to one of the safest communities in the region and we appreciate our long time positive community policing partnerships with Town Taxi and the Yarmouth Restaurant Association.

Please be smart and be safe and best wishes to all for a great Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade Weekend.

Here is the official press release from the organization.

The St. Patrick’s Parade Committee Chairman, Desmond Keogh, has announced that K9 Nero will be walking alongside Grand Marshal Peter McClelland as they lead the 2019 Cape Cod St.Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 9, 2019.

We on the parade committee are delighted that K9 Nero will be part of the parade. We hope that seeing Peter and Nero walking together along Route 28, will be uplifting not only for the Cape Cod community but also for all law
enforcement officers, first responders, and their families.

The theme of this year’s Parade is “The Spirit of the Community”, and the parade is dedicated to fallen Yarmouth Police Sergeant Sean Gannon. Sean and Nero walked the parade route together last year, and we know that Sean will be watching over the parade that he so proudly participated in for many years.

There will be MANY surprises throughout the parade. It is growing, it seems that everyone, on and off Cape Cod, and from across the pond, wants to be part of this wonderful event.

We are certain that the 2019 parade, will show the true “Spirit of the Community” that meant so much to Sean. We hope to see EVERYONE lining the parade route, wearing their green, and coming together as a community stronger than ever!
