Chatham Band Concert
The Chatham Band Concerts are a keystone event on Cape Cod. The band is 87 years old and the summer concerts have been held at Kate Gould Park since the late 1940s. This concert series runs for ten weeks, from June 28 to August 30.
Kate Gould Park is the site of the Whit Tileston Band Stand which is the center of attention during the summer for the Friday night concerts by the Chatham Band. These concerts start every Friday night at about 8:00 p.m. during the months of July and August. These concerts last for about an hour and a half. These concerts are free and open to the public.
Parking is a challenge and the band recommends that visitors arrive early for a parking place and a good seat. The town parking lots behind the Chatham Squire at 487 Main Street, the lot at Chatham Town Hall at 549 Main Street and the one at the Orpheum Theatre at 637 Main Street are good options for parking. Parking on the street is limited.
Some streets are rerouted on Band Concert nights. Chatham Bars Avenue becomes one way from Main Street to Shore Road.
