Cape Cinema, The Cape Playhouse, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art present drive-in movies from July 15 to August 19.

Popcorn Pop-Up

The large central parking lot on the campus of The Cape Playhouse, Cape Cinema, and Cape Cod Museum of Art will be transformed into a nostalgic pop-up drive-in movie theater every Wednesday night starting July 15 through August – featuring family favorite films. The Cape Cinema concessions will be open for snacks – and of course freshly popped popcorn – and we welcome you on our campus lawn where you can bring a chair and a pre-show picnic – either your own gourmet box or one from one of our fabulous neighboring restaurants. Modest charges will be applied per person for each movie and the proceeds will be shared among the three campus organizations.

The Parking lot will open at 7:30 pm and all movies begin at 8:45 pm.

Featured movies include: Jurassic Park on July 15, Jaws on July 22, Back to the Future on July 29, E.T. on August 5, The Wizard of Oz on August 12, and Trolls on August 19.

Admission is $15.00 per person.

Participants limited to 100: Tickets are sold per person not per car, and parking is limited to 100 vehicles. For the safety of our patrons and staff, all tickets must be purchased online. Please download your paper receipt or show proof of purchase on your mobile phone to one of our attendants when you arrive. Our Box Office will be closed.

Safety Rules: All attendees must remain in their cars except to use the restrooms. If you need to leave your car, The Cape Playhouse requires all participants to abide by the MA health & safety Covid-19 guidelines by wearing face masks and observing 6 feet distancing for each event.
