Freedom: Members Show

PAAM presents a new open exhibition this spring. The theme is Freedom and features entries from members of the museum.

Here are some photos from the show.

The exhibition is open during regular museum hours. Open Thursday-Sunday, 11 am to -5 pm. The show runs through August 30.

Each year PAAM mounts upwards of 6 members’ open and juried exhibitions in which participants display their work alongside some of America’s most noteworthy artists.

Members’ Exhibitions at PAAM represent the work of contemporary artist-members of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Many of these artists live on Cape Cod either full-time or for part of the year. While the work varies greatly in media and approach, each artist-member joins a long roster of distinguished artists who have studied, taught, and exhibited at PAAM over the past 100 years. There is no submission fee for members’ exhibitions, but membership must be up to date.

All members in good standing are invited to submit to this open exhibition. The theme for this open exhibition is “freedom,” and is open to your interpretation. Work must not exceed 24” in any direction (including the frame) and must arrive dry and equipped with a hanging device. All types of media welcome. 1 submission/person. There is no submission fee for members’ exhibitions.

Drop-Off Day is Tuesday, March 3 from 12-4 pm. Early drop-offs are welcome the week prior to Drop-Off Day during Museum hours only (Thursday-Sunday, 12-5 pm). Membership must be valid through May 2020, anyone is welcome to join or renew when dropping off work. Pick-Up Day is Tuesday, May 5 from 12-4 pm.
