Moved to Labor Day weekend
The labor Day fireworks show in Hyannis is staged on a barge in Lewis Bay. The show starts at about 9:00 pm. Before the fireworks, you can catch free concerts at various locations from 5:00 to 7:00 pm featuring local bands.
Aselton Park is located on the Bay next to the Cape Cod Maritime Museum.
Hyannis Fireworks Viewing
Good places to view the fireworks are Aselton Park, Bismore Park, and Veteran’s Park Beach. Kalmus Beach will be available also, but only for handicapped parking. The fireworks are visible from beaches and locations facing Nantucket Sound. This should make for good viewing in Hyannis and West Yarmouth, anywhere along Lewis Bay.
Hyannis Fireworks Parking
Parking will be available in the North Street and Town Hall parking lot. There will be a parking ban in effect South of South Street (Ocean Street), Old Colony Boulevard, Gosnold Street, and all streets running off of Gosnold from 5:00 pm to midnight to allow for pedestrian access. Tow zones will be strictly enforced, and carpooling is encouraged.
The fireworks are sponsored by the Town of Barnstable.
