Pops by the Sea Guest Conductor:

Here is some information from the event in 2018. We will update this page when information for next year’s event is published.

The Pops by the Sea is the nonprofit’s major fundraiser of the year, with funds going to support the foundation’s artistic and cultural grants, fellowships, and scholarships on the Cape. Tickets for the Pops can be purchased at www.artsfoundation.org.

Past guest conductors at the Pops have included, among others, Dr. Gregory Skomal in 2017, Blue Man Group in 2016, Jim Belushi in 2012, the Farrelly brothers in 2011, Rachael Ray in 2010, and Ray Romano in 2007.

Pops by the Sea Volunteers:

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is looking for volunteers for next year to help make the concert a success. The foundation seeks to continue building a fun, collaborative team that’s ready—rain or shine—to help prepare and stage this event. Many jobs are available to volunteers, including grounds set up, parking attendants, gate, and line attendants. In thanks for their time and effort, all volunteers will receive a lawn ticket admission pass to the concert, as well as a Pops by the Sea t-shirt and light snacks and refreshments while they work.

Prospective volunteers will be directed to an online application where they can introduce themselves and indicate the jobs that most interest them. After a brief follow-up over the phone with an AFCC employee, roughly 100 volunteers will be asked to join in a volunteer orientation session in August. These sessions will familiarize volunteers with their jobs ahead of the event, and importantly, provide opportunities for them to get to know one another and the AFCC staff.
