Provincetown Portuguese Festival

“The Blessing,” became the Blessing of The Fleet and over the years transformed into the Provincetown Portuguese Festival & Blessing of the Fleet. For 2022, it runs June 23-26. The festival includes four days of music, dancing, food, parades, games, and much more.

The flags along Commercial St. in Lopes Sq. and Portuguese Sq. will celebrate June Portuguese Heritage month. Portuguese roosters appear in their usual places around town.

Some of the events include:

  • Salvatore Del Deo shares his artwork and his stories of Provincetown at the Red Inn from noon to 4 pm.
  • Opening night at Seamen’s Bank
  • Craft Fair at Portuguese Square
  • Fishing Derby at Macmillan Pier
  • Soup Tasting at Bas Relief Park
  • Live Music at Portuguese Square
  • Field Games at Motta Field
  • Portuguese Folklore Dancers at Portuguese Square
  • Parade on Commercial Street
  • Concert at Provincetown Hall
  • Fisherman’s Mass at St Peter the Apostle Church
  • Blessing of the Fleet at Macmillan Pier
  • Band Concert at Provincetown Town Hall
