The Negro Speaks – Langston Hughes will be presented virtually by the Cotuit Center for the Arts on Friday, September 18 at 7:00 pm.

This presentation was recorded on September 12 and will be presented during a live stream on our YouTube Cotuit on Demand page Friday, September 18 at 7 pm. This presentation will include a preview of “Piece by Piece V: Demonstration 2020: A Digital Collage” featuring local artists’ visual reactions to recent protests following the murder of George Floyd. This presentation looks at the work of Langston Hughes, as he expresses to the world that Black Lives Matter through the genius of his poetry.

Due to Covid-19, seating will be limited. CCftA follows all safety protocols related to Covid-19 and may be viewed on our website.

Donations for the series accepted by texting CONVERSATION to 44321. All proceeds from donations will be split between Cotuit Center for the Arts and the Millers, who will be donating their share to the Zion Heritage Museum.
