Wellfleet Farmers Market
The Wellfleet Farmers Market opened on Wednesday, May 13, and continues through October 7, 2020, “in the grove” at the Wellfleet Congregational Church on Main Street.
This market really has its act together! They have a whole procedure for safe shopping on the one hand and essential C.S.A., community support of agriculture on the other. Here’s a statement from their newsletter. This is the best COVID-19 plan that we’ve seen from anyone.
Here’s what you need to know:
- All shoppers are required to wear a mask and gloves. Social Distancing will be actively regulated by market staff.
Single shoppers only – no couples or groups. We may need to limit the number of shoppers in the market. Please move through the grove as quickly as possible to minimize interactions and wait times.
No reusable bags – vendors will provide single-use paper bags.
No eating food at the market.
Carry out any garbage or recycling that you bring in or generate at the market.
Bathrooms are for Vendors only. Please use the bathroom before leaving your home.
No dogs allowed at the market this season.
Curbside pick up will be available by placing telephone orders with individual vendors. Curbside Pick-up updates will be posted on Facebook and Instagram.
To minimize the use of cash, please consider alternative payment methods such as Venmo or Paypal. Please download Venmo or create a PayPal account before coming to the market. Venmo users can “friend” our vendors before arriving at the market by adding them using their handle below:
- Cape Coastal Farm Products: @Uli-Winslow
- Dave’s Greens: @David-Dewitt-27
- Pocasset Naturals: @stephstace
- Wellfleet Chick Koop: @WellfleetChickKoop-Pecoraro
- Wild Flour Bakery: @wildflourwellfleet
For non-tech payment options, please consider the use of checks.
We look forward to seeing your smiling faces on opening day and thank you for your attention to these important safety precautions!
Also, here’s an upcoming event that sounds irresistible!
More to come!
