HOW MUCH:

Winter Wednesdays is a free community program aimed toward bringing people together to learn new skills, meet other locals, and stay active and connected during the quiet winter months on Cape Cod. Classes include Improv 101, Calligraphy, Ayurveda – Inner Healer, Future Proofing Cape Cod, Graphic Design, Art of Dying – Death Cafe, Bookbinding, Talk Wood(shop), Illumination, and Storytelling through Media.

The program runs Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm, February 5 to March 25. You can follow us on Facebook for more up-to-date information or you can email the program coordinator. (see the Wednesday site)

Last year, Winter Wednesdays brought together over 70 local residents each week. Emerging from their dark caves and braving the winter weather, they came together to socialize and stay connected with classes and activities such as card making, cake decorating, woodworking, drumming, Humphrey Bogart movie night, and more. We invite you to make our fourth year even more exciting by showing up each week to be a part of the community experience the program offers.

Each year Winter Wednesdays puts out a call for instructors willing to offer the community a chance to learn something new or enhance a skill they already may possess. Our schedule of classes comprises locals sharing their talent and knowledge. We strive to devise a schedule of classes that works with the program guidelines and offers the best variety to participants.

Classes are located in the Provincetown School at 12 Winslow Street and run Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm. Park in the Grace Hall lot of Prince Street and enter through the southwest entrance between Fishermen Hall and the playground.
For a free ride to the school call Cape Cab at 508-487-2222 and mention “Winter Wednesdays”.
Free childcare is also available for children ages 5-12. Email winterwednesdaysCC@gmail.com by noon on Wednesday to register for childcare for that evening.
