Yarmouth Fireworks

The Yarmouth Seaside Festival

The festival, the arts and crafts show, the bonfire on the beach, and the fireworks are scheduled for 2021.

The festival opens on Columbus Day Weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, October 2-4, 2021. The festival features a wide range of activities from sand sculpting to a road race. This year marks the 42nd or 43rd anniversary of the festival. (depending on whether they count 2020) The celebration also includes a fireworks display, a bonfire on the beach, carnival rides and games, a bed race, and a canoe/kayak race. The festival grounds are at Joshua Sears Memorial Field on Wood Road in South Yarmouth, while the fireworks are at Seagull Beach. According to the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and a great little story written by Andy Tomolonis, Smuggler’s Beach, Parkers River Beach and almost any south-facing beach is a great place to watch the Seaside Festival fireworks. The fireworks show is produced by American Thunder Fireworks of North Reading.

Here is a statement from the Seaside Festival organizers about the 2020 festival:

“Due to the current state COVID-19 restrictions, the Yarmouth Seaside Festival will not be granted the state permits needed to hold our annual Bonfire and Fireworks for 2020.

We had been holding out the hope that we might at least have these two events this year but to no avail. Therefore, it is with sincere regret that we cancel the entire 42nd Yarmouth Seaside Festival for this year.

For our visitors who love to shop at the festival, and to support our loyal craft vendors, please visit our vendors’ page where you can do your holiday shopping. There you will find contact information for all of last year’s artisans. This is our way of thanking both our vendors and our visitors who we will miss this year.

See you back in full swing in 2021. Stay safe! Stay healthy!”
