Cotuit Center for the Arts

The Cotuit Center for the Arts is a regional arts center that features live theatre, rotating visual arts exhibitions, concerts, and art classes.

The center was founded in 1993 and incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 1995. The center is a dynamic cultural center that draws over 35,000 visitors every year. The center offers paid and free programs. They host art exhibits, live theater, concerts, classes and workshops, film screenings, and special events. The center is open throughout the year.

Their events calendar is packed. They host an average of 120 hours of programming across ten locations every week. From rehearsals to meetings to classes to performances, there is always something going on. A typical year will feature 8 Mainstage theater productions, 11 Black Box shows, 40 or so class offerings, 12 Gallery installations, and 41 special events from concerts to student collaborations, annual festivals to talent showcases, craft fairs to magic shows.

Ticket sales cover about half of our financial needs. The center is supported by the contributions, sustained by a large group of active volunteers, grounded by a 16-member Board of Directors, and driven by the dedication and passion of 9 full-time and 9 part-time employees.
