Town of Barnstable Coronavirus Update

Barnstable: Monday, May 4, 2020

A total of 188 residents of the Town of Barnstable have tested positive for COVID-19 to date. The chart below provides the number of positive cases reported per day in the Town of Barnstable during the time period from March 19, 2020 (the date of our first positive case) to May 3, 2020. The green line depicted on this graph is an attempt to show the reader where we are in regards to the “curve” by providing the average number of cases reported per day.

946 residents of Barnstable County have tested positive for COVID-19 as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported a total of 68,087 Massachusetts residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Throughout the United States, 1,012,583 persons contracted COVID-19. 58,355 persons died from the virus according to data received from the John Hopkins University website this morning.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported a total of 58,302 MA residents have tested positive for COVID-19 as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday. This includes 820 residents of Barnstable County.
A total of 171 residents of the Town of Barnstable have tested positive for COVID-19 to date. The chart below provides the number of positive cases reported per day in the Town of Barnstable during the time period from March 19, 2020 (the date of our first positive case) to April 28, 2020. The green line depicted on this graph is an attempt to show the reader where we are in regards to the “curve” by providing the average number of cases reported per day.

Barnstable: 4/14/2020

The town of Barnstable now has 93 cases of Coronavirus. The multi-day average of cases is showing a flattening of the curve. Congratulations, guys!

In the United States, 466,396 persons have tested positive for COVID-19. 16,686 persons have died from the virus according to today’s data received from the John Hopkins University website.

In Massachusetts, the Department of Public Health reported 18,941 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday. This includes a total of 444 residents of Barnstable County. Here in the Town of Barnstable, seventy-one (71) residents have tested positive to date for COVID-19. The chart below provides the number of positive cases reported per day in the Town of Barnstable during the time period from March 19, 2020 through April 10, 2020. The blue line depicts the approximate average number of positive cases reported per day.

The town of Barnstable is providing more information on the status of the pandemic in our area than any other town. They make reports on the status of the virus almost daily. They are doing a fantastic job.

In the United States, 399,929 persons have test positive for COVID-19;  12,911 persons have died according to today’s data received from the  John Hopkins University website .  In Massachusetts, the Department of Public Health reported 15,202 residents of Massachusetts tested positive for COVID-19 as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday; this includes 405 residents of Barnstable County.

Here in the Town of Barnstable, sixty-four (64) residents have tested positive to date for COVID-19.  The chart below provides the number of positive cases reported per day in the Town of Barnstable during the time period from March 19, 2020 through April 8, 2020.  The blue line depicts the approximate average number of positive cases reported per day.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported that as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday, 4,955 residents of Massachusetts tested positive for COVID-19.   This includes 148 residents of Barnstable County.   As of this morning, a total of twenty-seven (27) Town of Barnstable residents tested positive for COVID-19.  Public Health Division nurses continue to contact those who were infected to ensure they are appropriately isolated and with those who have come into contact with them to take the required quarantine precautions.

A total of 39,066 persons were tested in Massachusetts for COVID-19;  12.7% of them were found to be positive.  Cape Cod Healthcare has issued guidance regarding testing.

3/27/2020 – Town of Barnstable Health Department

As of this morning, a total of nineteen (19) Town of Barnstable residents tested positive for COVID-19.  The Health Division public health nurses continue to contact those who were infected to ensure they are appropriately isolated and with those who have come into contact with them to take the required quarantine precautions.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported that as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday, sixty-seven (67)  residents of Barnstable County tested positive.  There were 579 new cases of COVID-19  state-wide, which brings the total to 2,417 in Massachusetts.

23,621 persons have been tested in Massachusetts for COVID-19;   10.2% of them were found to be positive.  Cape Cod Healthcare has issued guidance regarding testing.
